SEARSPORT — During this season of Thanksgiving, The Searsport First Congregational Church presents the Second Annual Festival of Gratitude, a choir festival with representatives from several local churches.

The concert will take place Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m., at Searsport FCC, 8 Church Street. Each participating group will sing two of their favorite anthems of praise and thanksgiving, and the concert will culminate with the combined choirs singing In This Very Room (Harris), and The Majesty and Glory of Your Name (Fettke), under the direction of Nancy Cole and accompanied by Dionne Haase.

Participating choirs and ensembles this year include the Belfast United Methodist Church, Penobscot United Methodist Church, Searsport and North Searsport United Methodist Churches, Sandy Point Congregational Church, and Searsport First Congregational Church.

There is no charge for the concert; donations will be accepted at the door for the Interfaith Fuel Fund to help keep neighbors warm this winter, and non-perishable items will be accepted for the local food pantry.
