ROCKLAND — The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts the 2023 Red Carpet Awards on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Strand Theatre, in Rockland.

“The Strand, celebrating its 100th year, is the perfect venue for this fun-filled event as we recognize and celebrate the following achievements: Maritime Energy will receive the Family-Owned Business Award, Lyman-Morse will receive the Business Expansion & Renovation Award, and John Bird will receive the Heritage Preservation Award,” said the Chamber, in a news release.

“We are also thrilled to have Captain Jim Sharp, our 2023 Community Person of the Year, with us to ‘re-accept’ his award in person as he shares some thoughts and seafaring stories since he could not be with us in-person at the Gala in February.”
