WEST ROCKPORT — Sandra Morton Rollins, 81, widow of Scott G. Rollins, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Born in Rockport on August 21, 1942, she was the daughter of Ralph W. and Marguerite (Buzzell) Morton.

Sandra was a member of the Rockport High School Class of 1960, a small class that kept in touch with one another over the years. On August 10, 1960, she married Scott Rollins beginning a life together that spanned six decades. Scott and Sandra settled in West Rockport where they raised their family and built the Rollin’s Auto Body business.

Scott and Sandra enjoyed square dancing, camping, attending dances at the Camden American Legion Hall and working together to build and furnish a Victorian dollhouse. Sandra was a terrific cook and enjoyed baking for friends for the holidays and special occasions. When her children reached their teenage years, she worked a variety of jobs including baking and serving at The Coffee Mug, and working at the bakery at the Camden IGA, when it was located on Elm Street. She put her excellent housekeeping skills to use in her retirement years cleaning summer homes in Rockport with her longtime friend and classmate providing her with “mad money” to do special things.

Scott’s retirement allowed them to divide their time between Florida and Maine. Sandra formed several friendships during her years at Ocean Resorts, where they worked together on many social events. Her favorite activity was Bingo Night at the Elks.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her step-father, Louis Regnier, and sister-in-law Ruth Morton.

Surviving are her children, Teri (Rollins) Young, and son, Greg Rollins and his wife, Trina; three grandsons, Levi Scott Rollins and his wife Kallie, Jacob Benjamin Rollins and his wife Lacey, William Duncan Young and his wife Coral Keller; sisters, Joanne Welch, Geraldine “Gerry” Wright; and brother Kenneth Morton; great-grandchildren, Michael Scott Rollins, Brooklyn Elina Rollins, Ellie True Rollins, Deklyn Jeffery Rollins, Connor Bengamin Rollins; multiple nieces, and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Glenna (Rollins) Drinkwater.

The family would like to thank the team at The Homestead for their caring support and special thanks to Gerry Hutchison for her steadfast friendship in caring for Sandra.
