Rockland library hosts class on Applying for the Affordable Connectivity

ROCKLAND — Rockland Public Library hosts the Applying for the Affordable Connectivity Program, Thursday, Nov. 30, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., in the Rockland Public Library’s Community Room. This class is co-sponsored with the National Digital Equity Center.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC program that was put in place to help low-income families pay for the cost of connecting to broadband internet access. In this class, participants will learn about qualifying for and applying for the benefit, and what they can expect from Internet Service Providers. No devices are required; just bring yourself.

Online enrollment with the NDEC and class registration is required; to enroll, please visit digitalequitycenter.org/classes/enroll/. Then register for “Rockland, ME: Applying for the Affordable Connectivity Program”. Interested participants can also call the library and staff will be happy to assist with enrollment and registration.

The event is free and open to all.

The Library is located at 80 Union St.
