Carl J. Patch, obituary

ROCKLAND — Carl J. Patch, 54, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 with his mother at his side. Born in Medfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of Carleton and Eileen Patch.

Carl had a very interesting life and began his education in California, graduating from high school in Westport, Connecticut. Later he attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut.

Carl’s career began with an internship for Mobil Corp, in Manhattan. He was also employed as an advisor with Boston Financial.

When not busy working, Carl enjoyed diving as a certified Scuba Diver, was a licensed pilot, riding his Harley Davidson, and hosted a radio show called ‘Echoes of War’. Musically inclined, while in high school he was selected to play first trumpet at Radio City Music Hall.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Predeceased by his father, C.B. Patch; Carl is survived by his mother, Elieen; his brother, Dana; his aunts, Dr. Marilyn Arnone, Gayle Kadlik and her husband John, Marian O’Donoghue; his uncle John J. O’Donoghue; as well as cousins in the U.S. and Ireland; and friends in the U. S. and Canada.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 150 Broadway, Rockland. Interment will be announced in the spring.
